We had a great room, very spacious, with both blinds and curtains a necessity for Scottish summers when the sun doesn't go down till about 10:30 p.m. and rises as early as 4:30 a.m. Our host Alistair and his wife were very accommodating, and even though we arrived early, about 10:30 a.m. they prepared our room soon after we arrived. Just across the street was the Pirnhall Inn that had a nice pub with good hearty food and tasty beers. We had a couple of horses including a little foal and a small heard of cows including a couple of calves for quiet neighbors and were only a 20 minute walk from the Robert the Bruce monument and a 10 minute bus ride from the Stirling Bus Station.
Not anything really. They don't have breakfast but that can be remedied by a trip to the Pirnhall Inn which I believe is open most of the time. The only thing that was not as easy is for folks that are relying on buses and trains, their is a bus stop just up the road but the buses are about 2 times and hour on the weekdays and once an hour on the weekends.

Our host, Alisdair, was friendly and gracious about our late arrival. The room was clean and attractive and the beds were very comfortable. After too many nights spent on thin, uncomfortable mattresses this trip, that was appreciated! We had free WiFi access in the room and a good, hot shower. The location was rural (on a working farm complete with mooing cows), but within sight of Bannockburn battlefield and just a short drive away from everything else we wanted to see in Stirling. Given the chance, we would definitely choose to stay here again.
No breakfast, but there were several places to eat nearby and tea/coffee was provided.

The bed and breakfast was functional and it was quiet despite being near a busy road
I am disappointed that bed and breakfasts that don't serve breakfasts

It is not really a hotel, but an out-of-town motel with no real services. It is not really a farm either, although it is in the middle of farmland. More basic and spartan than we were expecting. Not a bad place for young families with children, but it is just a clean room without any supporting services.

Great service and it had everything we needed.
The room (it was a loft room) was very hot and we found it hard to cool it down because we couldn't have the velux window much because the light was shining straight in so we would'nt be able to sleep with it open.

Very nice place to walk outside with small but beautiful garden. Restaurant is very close to the hotel. Good to spend time with children.

My stay at Hillhead Farm was enjoyable. The room was very tidy and quiet, however I was a little stiff when I woke up from the mattress, which wasn't that comfortable....for the price though it can't be beat.

We stayed in a lovely garden view room, perfect for chilling out after exploring the beautiful area. We visited some fine local attractions and enjoyed the easy access to the motorway. The garden was well maintained.
While the stay was enjoyable, the Wi-Fi didn't reach our room well, making it tough to stay connected.

The location was central and close to monuments and a castle.

Not all that easy to find. Room could do with re-painting, scuff marks on walls. Mattress uncomfortable, could feel the springs. Electric shower, water only just warm and gradually got colder. No proper wardrobe in room only flimsy hanging rail which was not tall enough to hang a shirt and no dressing table. Reasonable stay but could have been better.
